LAUREL BURCH Feline Friends tote

Designed by Laurel Burch, who used fantasy as an escape from a debilitating bone disease (she was born with Osteopetrosis and survived over 100 fractures!). Burch's world travels inspired her to become one of the first American designers to produce jewelry in China. Her hand-screened purses launched from Taiwan in 1983. Her impact not only in design but in humanitarian work and wildlife preservation efforts lead San Francisco's then-Mayor Gavin Newsom to declare April 13, 2006 "Laurel Burch Day." She passed in 2007.

This purse was purchased years before Burch passed and is in excellent condition. Water resistant interior lining.
